2 days to go

Well. The first bit of slightly bad news is that Operation Stack is in operation on the M20 down to Dover. The French are threatening strike action, but this has now been suspended. But you know what they are like. Someone will be given a slightly iffy Chocolate Eclaire in the morning and before you can say "sacre bleu" they'll close Calais and hundreds of Lorries will be stacked up on the M20. It's little consolation that I'm not going to Calais but I'll be trapped on the motorway. So I will get up extra early (4am) and hope for the best.

I'm also not convinced with SpeedFerries either. They only have one boat and are owned by a bunch of Danes including ex Spurs player Allan Nielsen. I remember seeing a documentary on it after Souckova made a deluxe sheppard's pie one night in Ealing. I say deluxe but actually I mean that it consisted of the national potato surplus of the Czech Republic and very little in the way of mince. I told her at the time that cooking like that won't get her another husband. And still she chooses not to take this good advice on board.

Anyway. Mary at work has asked for a little map to be posted. As she says her geography is shit. So here goes. The red route is the main one described in the last post. The blue is the alternative route back. No expense spared eh?
